I am going to make my own cable anchors this year, as well as building snares on a more efficient level. I originally Was going to purchase the bench mounted swager tool that most trapper supply houses offer. I could get this tool for as low as $100 on Amazon. However, I am a man of buying "one and done" and "pay more for quality" kind of guy. Anyhow, I ended up buying a "Loos Cableware 1-SC Multi-Compression Hand Swager" that will do 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32" & 3/16" sizes. I should have asked here before I bought it, but... Will this tool take care of what I want to do? Are these the proper sizes for snare building and anchors? Is this a quality brand? ...or did I just blow a crap load of cash for something I will rarely use? Thanks for any input. Joel

I’m sure it will fine but will be slow making snares unless you put one handle in your vise to make it a bench crimper.
Also the way it comes I think you will have to use round aluminum crimps.

I made a bench crimper by modifying an old 24 in bolt cutter. I use 1/4 steel nuts for ends. ( 3/32 cable ) I put one handle in my vise and smash with the other handle. I can make a snare or 330 extension in about 30 seconds.
