On my way to set some traps today I found a Budweiser can on the trail. Got me wondering if a coyote would check it out or shy away. I made the tranch set in the foreground and stood the can up 10 yards back. Only problem I can see with it is if it's a female or the likes it may prefer Bud light. Hope to update with catch pictures in the next couple days.

If I was to use that can I would stake it down and put a curiosity lure in it. Bet it would work.

I caught a coyote once on a Mc.Donalds bag with a rock inside of it, and some lure on the rock and about a half dozen French fries in the bag. I figured maybe I would catch a coon, but I was really surprised when I walked up on a yote.
The beer cans remind me of the ole JT creek chubs in a can calling stations.
I use some kind of out of the ordinary backing about once a season it seems like. Last year I wanted to put a set in on this road, and you couldn’t dig a dirt hole with a jackhammer not to mention the pond it turns into overnight. I was looking around and saw an old steel cooking pot laying in the weeds. I smeared some lure on the inside lip of the pan and jammed the handle in the ground with the pot upside down so there was a small opening in front of the trap...that set never caught a thing. Lol

The can does have windwalker in it. It was late ng on it's side this morning. Windy last night.

What was your reasoning to put the can 30 feet away from the actual set?

I caught 2 fox and a coyote on a busch light can and a squirt of fox urine. Smashed the can and pushed it standing up into the ground. Got a fox on a burger king bag once also. Same as Dfabs, I put a rock in it to keep it from blowing away and put a shot of fox pee on it
