No steel until rat season. Fur might be prime by then. Catching unprimed fur in this market is not only wasting time but wasting natural resources. Just my opinion.

I'm just going after coyotes prime or not a few less coyotes running around the farm is always good thing. Once hunting season is out I'll trap the properties I have permission on.

I usually start veterans day. all my k-9 traps are waxed and ready to go. was speed dipping some old #0's,#1's and 1 1/2's longs and jumps tonight. some had multi trap tags om them. found 3 different addresses from pa, new York, Michigan and Nebraska was found also! might have to get a old weasel or mink stretcher and nail them on.

Week of thanksgiving, maybe. Have to see what coon market might be.

Y'all might tell me I'm stupid and a bad steward of resources for trapping Sunday but my furs aren't amounting to much anyway. Once I can flesh well enough I may think about waiting but until then...I have set some of my traps today.

I will admit I had to scratch the itch.
I have a bait I forgot to test. A tman member gave it to me to test. I felt bad when I found it in the back of the lure fridge and forgotten. So I took 3 traps and walked behind my house and made 3 sets. So we will see what morning brings.
