I've been wearing Carhartt pocket tee shirts for over 10 years. They were always 100% cotton. I went to buy some from Carhatt.com recently and noticed some were 60/40 cotton/poly. Not what I wanted. Some said 100% cotton, some said 60/40 based on color. So I picked my colors carefully to get 100% cotton and ordered 3. What I got was 1 cotton, one 60/40 labeled as such, and one 60/40 labeled as 100% cotton. The 60/40 material is very thin and stretchy and obviously different from the heavy 100% cotton. Obviously the information on the Carhartt site is wrong plus the labeling at the mfg plant in Guatemala is incorrect. Pretty disappointing. I'm done buying them unless I can lay my hands on them first.

They even did away with the button fly on the bibs. Welding spatter and cement don't work well in a zipper.

I been using their stuff for 40 years, when I started I used my dads hand me downs. Their imported stuff is junk. Im not even sure if anything Carhartt now is made in the USA. I can spot the import stuff 30 yards away, the material doesn't look right. Luckily I find the older USA made stuff at estate auctions for my needs.

Gilden Tees are nice I had a buddy give me a shirt for his business and if felt so good I had to look at the label to see who made it!

Soffee makes military tees and I like the fit they offer also!

Why the heck do they knock make hoodless sweatshirts anymore. I went to 5 different stores last weekend, scheels had 1 carrhart sweatshirt without a hood. It is almost impossible to find a heavy duty sweatshirt without a hood anywhere.

I quit buying Carhartt few years back, their pants and jackets lost the blue dye a lot faster than the wranglers I now wear

I highly doubt the material is mislabeled. There are a lot of cotton shirts out there with the "stretchy" feel these days. Though it's still cotton, they call it performance cotton. I hate it, but obviously a lot of people like it. You can still buy regular, thick, cotton shirts, but I don't know how to tell what you're getting online. That;s the reason I buy my clothes in person, I have to feel them first. That and I'm cheap and shop in discount stores. laugh

I quit buying carhartt several years ago too. Bought their pants and tshirts for probably 20 years for work. The last time I bought three pairs of pants all the same model and size off the same stack. One fit as usual, one was too small and the other too big. Also had a couple tshirts with the same problem. Said xl on the tag because that's what I always bought but they weren't.

I used to get 10 years out of an activejac. Now at about 3 the sleeves wear through above the cuffs. Definitely not the company that they used to be.
