If you like socialism, good for you. Pack your crap and move to a country that has it. Don't force it on this country.

Wanna bake your brains out smoking weed in the privacy of your own home? Have at it. But don't drive while high or expect sympathy from me if your boss fires you.

Wanna live in a socialist commune and share the life of Marxist ideals? Go for it. But don't try to legislate your ideology into law and yoke everyone else with it.

Wanna major in 18th century French poetry? Knock yourself out. But if you can't find gainful employment don't use the government to pick my pocket to subsidize your poor decision.

America is (was?) the land of the free. Do whatever you can afford. But if it doesn't work don't appeal to the government to coerce other people to make it viable for you.

Socialism has failed every single time it has been tried without exception. PERIOD! It does not work, it can not work. PERIOD! It has killed millions worldwide. PERIOD! Anyone that thinks otherwise should move to a socialist country and denounce your US citizenship. Send us a postcard with a stamp that cost you a months pay when you get there and get settled. Take a bag of flour with you. It's worth it's weight in gold.

You haven't been paying attention. If you spoke to anyone who knows me, especially thaose who lean to the left they'd laugh and say you have no clue. And if you are willing to back something you believe is wrong because it the position your side takes, you need to exercise you right of free choice.

A working sap pays fed. tax, state tax, social security tax, sales tax, property tax, gas tax, vehicle licensing tax, tax on more I can't think of. A sap ends up giving up at least 50% of his money to taxes....then there's the insurance.
A socialist bum is supported by the sap trying to do the right thing and work for a living. If Socialism does get a majority toehold, there will be no incentive for a man to keep working. That's when everything collapses. But fools can't see it, or don't want to see it.
You know how hard it is to go back to work after a 30 minute break, harder after a weekend off, even harder after a week vacation. Can you imagine trying to make a man go to work who has been sitting on his duff all his life? They would rather die. And they nearly do have the majority. It's nip and tuck....but losing ground hopefully.

Not hardly but it is getting near the edge of not turning back.

Government can not do anything for you.

Government can only Get in your way or get out of your way.

the balancing act of government is to get in the way just enough to prevent corruption , crime and mis-use of the land and resources of the people.
