Don't count out the rats just because of a eat out. There had to be rats to do that eat out and you won't catch them all so next year may not be that bad. Stable water conditions Is where It's at. The master speaks. Well what's your take on It? Your pretty good at commenting on what I post as to an answer on a situation but seem to fall a bit short on an answer of your own We have a eat out every year on the marsh and the next year we always have rats.

. . . Well what's your take on It? . . . We have a eat out every year on the marsh and the next year we always have rats. Eat outs don't bother me nearly as much as sustained floods (like we've got this year) or sustained droughts (like several years ago). As many 'rats as he's spanking in this short of time, IMO, it'll be just fine. It's just a good thing this number was removed from the marsh. Add all these hungry mouths to the surviving population and winter would have been gruesome under the ice for all. Wasn't CableAble posting pics like this last year in the same area?

We got a black one as well second from the right. A first for me going to have Wild Things in Rockton tan it.
