Which ones are more desirable ( ya funny right ? ) to fur buyers; the whiter paler ones, the greyish colored ones, or the more black colored ones ? Are the all equal ? I've always been curious. -Thanks

Black colored possum are the least desirable for the fur trade. The grayish ones and the paler ones are about the same.

NAFA grades possum in two colors - ordinary and black. Unless a craft buyer is at the auction, black possums are almost impossible to sell.

i sent fur to fur harvesters three seasons ago some of every thing every thing has either been sold cheap or marked no value and disappeared except the possum they still have ten on my account after 3 years so i would say they are all desirable
