My bait kept getting stolen from a DP so I decided to try the marshmallow trick. I put them under the trigger and said, see you tomorrow. My marshmallows kept getting stolen. Figuring it was not a cat I placed a 1 1/2 in front of the dp...nothing. I decided it was time for the trail camera. its a mouse, guess its time for a weasel box

When I have mouse problems with DPs, I either put two marshmallows on the ground next to the DPs for the mice. They can only eat but so much. I have also put out a handful of bird seed or corn. Mice would rather have that than marshmallows.

I use American Coon Caps and Zcaps- they do great job keeping rodents (and precipitation) out. I've heard that folks also place golf balls on top of the DPs to accomplish the same thing.
