Wondering if anyone strung out a few traps today. If prices aren't bad enough we had to have this crazy weather. Have a beaver problem to take care of but going to wait till after first shotgun season to put any traps out.

Thought about it, but as a weekend trapper it would of been a one night soak and pull them. Plus still in deer hunt mode and the bucks are chasing so dont want to stay out of the woods unless deer hunting.

yep. just like Christmas, snow and all this years opener. got to take my 5yr old daughter out with me to set a few this afternoon and my 7yr old daughter is going out in the morning to check with me, they are super excited to go even had to buy some trappin hats for them this fall, makes my heart feel good even with prices being down

I put some sets in. I was surprised by some ice on a couple creeks. Lots of beaver here!!

I plan on putting out a few traps this afternoon

Yep I have almost to much land to trap this year so I was out getting set up nice and early. Not a lot of coons running in my area and the ground is freezing up a bit but all said I think I did ok this morning a few coon a little beaver and got my first ever mink and yesterday I had a few more beaver and rats plus a coon

yupper joe. either the cold has slowed up the coon some......or they aren't gonna work my dogproof boxes
