Caught this female lynx in my fox set. First one of the season! Can hardly believe she got her whole paw in a Bridger 1 1/2. Also have never caught anything with a collar before! I talked to Fish and Game and after I send them the collar with the hide (they will return the hide) I get to find out where she came from.

Possum5-0 It is a double strand of 14 gauge wire. It has always done the trick for foxes. My cat set-ups are with a #3 coil and #3 chain. (The chain maybe a bit over kill for lynx.)

That looks like my neighbor's house cat.

That is awesome!!
Kinda like shooting a banded goose, but has to be much more rare!

Got a map of where the lynx had been since being collared. The mass of dots furthest south is the area it was collared in. The mass of marks above that is where is spent July/August and then in September it moved further north. From the looks of the map she put on some miles. Also was interesting how often the marks were on either side of the river as there is open water and minimum 100 yards across that time of year.
The red dot is the approximate area that I caught it.

How far is that from south to north?

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness

I used a ruler with the key at the bottom and it looks like just over 40 miles north/south and a little less than 40 east/west.
