Being in LaCrosse, I have to say I wear the LaCrosse ice man or ice king? not sure now which they are. Their the biggest boot LaCrosse made here at the time. Not sure how the boots are now that their all made in China? I wear a really thin poly sock walking in to my stand. Then after sitting for a bit put my heavy socks on. This weekend I made it threw Saturday and Sunday. Sitting from before light to close. Never even changed out to my heavy socks.
I'm a whoose get cold easy is why I bought mine.

If you just want to keep your feet warm while sitting in a stand,just get a cheap pair of insulated rubber boots,a size bigger than normal and wear a pair of down filled socks.

Thank you for the replies folks. I have a pair of Lacrosse ice kings and they are great for cold weather sitting but tough to cover much ground walking in them. My Danners have400 gram thinsulate in them and are great for walking but not for stopping for long. Looking for a rubber bottom in between the two and it looks like the Schnees or the Hoffmans will have something to fill the bill.

Hey Zim;

I was watching “Life Below Zero” episode last night. That Jesse Holmes, the sled dog racer is/was wearing the Neos Overshoes in the shows beginning where he was feeding and preparing dogs for the Iditarod race. Same ones I use.

I struggled with cold feet for years while sitting on a tree stand. I tried all kinds of rubber and pac boots. I bought the Cabelas Mens Trans Alaskan Pac Boot. It is the warmest boot I have found.

Anyone wear those Mickey Mouse boots? They don't look comfortable to walk in but I was thinking for in a stand of ice fishing?
