if we end welfare I would not have a problem with anybody being allowed in. doubt the d's or r's either one ever get behind end welfare. to easy to siphon off the money. take Walmart for example. most of their employees get government assistance so Walmart can pay cheap. a big part of their groceries are bought by people with food stamps. why in the world would Walmart tell the politicians they buy to end handouts???????????????????????????

It is not Walmart's fault the Gov. keeps giving away free stuff, if a person can only get a job for $9 an hour and they can't live on that then get 2 jobs, work 80 hours a week, whatever it takes. There is usually a reason a person makes min. wage and it usually involves choices that were made in the past, and they weren't the right choices.

It was real bad when I worked part time at the distribution center goldnut. They started everyone at $16.50 and gave everyone a $.50 raise every six months for two years. If you worked weekends we got an extra $2.50 an hour! Oh, and annual raises of up to $.50 after 2 years based on how well the company does. Plus quarterly bonuses of up to $1 per hour that you worked... the bumbs!!

What I want to know is how do these people on public aid have the money for cell phones and tatoos?

Today’s brainwashing, not just by academia but also media and entertainment, is intense. That is a flat depressing article White but darn hard to argue with as well.

A big part of the people who shop there may use food stamps but I beta it's more of location than anything a store I a better neighborhood would have higher class shoppers. As for employers getting government assistance the cashiers and other lower end jobs may but they never stay employed long any way. The department manager and on up make good enough money that it would be harder to get government help.
