Our rats run pretty small here but once in a while you find a good one. I wish they were all this sized.

i just put up 2 normal sized rats for here and they both stretched just over 16 in.thats a big one you got there.

I have noticed that the really jumbo rats will sometimes live in the same den as the beaver. Also, the larger rats will usually live in steady water terrain. If they are constantly fighting the current, then they are over exercised and will be more lean.

That big one would be alot boardy or stiff compared to smaller rat. Usually rats in wild rice fields are very fat....
