I am making marinated pork chunks. Probably have some mashed potatoes and I am going to make a pan of dressing just because I like it.

We had our plans made and then things changed. The 10 of us will order a Thanksgiving dinner from a local catering firm and enjoy our time together with some games etc. Most of the items are quite traditional but some things like the yams with ham and turkey along with some various cheesecakes including a cranberry one that I have never seen before.

It's good to see some people still eating turkey. I think our wild turkeys are little scarce at the home farm. Maybe it's time to plant a food plot. Do any else plant a food plot specifically for wild turkeys?

So much to be thankful for in life. Being retired holidays aren't that big of deal like when I was working. It is just another day in paradise but still haven't forgotten the true meaning of each.

Have a great day and hunting this morning and turkey this afternoon isn't any better then that. LOL

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

My uncle who lives in a VA hospital is staying with me for a couple days so we will head over to my younger sister's house to drink White Russians and eat whatever is put before us all day.

We're having.... Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, cheesy bacon green bean casserole, white corn I froze from the garden this summer, sweet potato casserole, homemade mac and cheese, cranberry crisp, pear wild rice and orzo stuffing, and homemade wheat dinner rolls. Pecan and pumpkin pies for dessert. Pretty traditional.

Great pictures, Jonathon, WOW. You sure can make an ugly bird look pretty, lol.

Thanksgiving was yesterday. I am on a tropical island in the philipines. Had a nice turkey dinner , with a asia touch.
Have a good one every one.
