Let's see, Sunday and Monday was upper 40's and got over an inch of rain, Tuesday and Wednesday low 15* high 25* blowing snow, Thursday upper 30's with freezing rain wintery mix, Friday and Saturday 50's with another inch of rain and to end the forecast low 30's on Monday. Rivers rise and fall a foot over pocket sets and castor sets, crust forms on top of dry land sets, DP's freeze up. Midwest trapping is anything but "easy" lol

I've been lucky we've had the same temps here in northern Illinois but only got 5 inches of snow sunday the rain missed me and im sure its only time before I do get it and then its pull everything and reset last year was my worst ever with the weather and I don't have a lot of experience this is my third year doing dryland sets for coyote only ever coon trapped before. but man o man was the freeze thaw freeze thaw kickin my butt. I still have a lot of sets I want to get out but kinda want to wait till its a hard freeze and hoping I don't have to deal with the freeze thaw as much.

Always interesting when I hear the description of mid- west to describe your states. Is there a mid-east description for an area of states?

I do see the weather you people are experiencing. Stay safe. The roads and weather in MT is a day to day thing some good some not.

Yep, I know the feeling! Put out a few sets last Saturday in a T-shirt. Rain, turned to light snow, temps dropped 35 degrees. It was 32 Monday, 27 yesterday and 38 today. Going to be near 70 on Saturday with thunderstorms and 50 mph winds. Be back in the 30's by next Tuesday. Keeping sets working is such a challenge!!!!
