I have a lot of game camera pics of multiple coyotes. I have set traps in the areas where I was getting the majority of the pictures. I have not connected with one yet but I do have a question for all of you. When I do connect what are your thoughts on immediately resetting the traps in the same spot i.e. in the burn circle??? Is this what you all do or do you reset just outside the circle or do you relocate your traps all together???

I usually reset the trap in the circle and make a fresh set nearby. Some coyotes seem to spook away from catch circles while others are drawn to them. JMO

I remake often you can always change up the set to a walk through with the mess you have on hand or push the loose mess into a pile and leave the trap where it is, some guys set the edge of the circle lots of options.

Yup, some of mine turn into trash pile sets, a paw set will take the ones that don't want to enter the circle

...I reset them in circle here ....have had some take up to 8 coyotes on the same solid staked trap....just have to knock the dirt mound down...re-bed the trap...punch a hole ...and lure when you’re in those hot areas

Insert profound nonsense here

Same here I always remake a catch circle the interest is off the chart to most yotes! I do at times add a fresh set for the vetran yotes! A fox remake is almost a guarantee yote here! Grinners make hot spots go dead for some odd reason.

Reset the catch circle and make 1 or even 2 new sets just 3 to 4 feet away. If you get mom or papa the first catch def try that.

I read on here from someone I respect as a trapper that has trapped multiple states that some areas a catch circle is great and in his home state now that a catch circle is hard to get another yote into. My area catch circles work great . I like remaking with a step down dirt hole if rain or snow is not an issue.

Only been trapping coyotes for 4 years. I have never made a catch on a remake. Almost a waste of time, although I always do it thinking maybe some day. Could be that I'm doing something wrong. I've tried rebaiting and luring and adding nothing. Doesn't seem to matter

I noticed that with my first ever catch was a fox and I had a game camera set up looking over the trap. While I had the fox in the trap two different yotes came in to see him then after I took him out they came back a couple more times the next night. I know have a couple sets around the circle plus one in the circle. Hope to connect soon. Where are you from in Missouri??? Pm if you want.
