Anyone have any experience or tried the new Garmin Panoptix system yet...... if so can you share your pros vs cons?

I have not but I watched a video of it being used on youtube-well actually 3 of them by Aaron Weibe ( Uncut Angling) and he did an amazing job showing its features and also using it with actual fishing footage( Open water Musky and under ice Whitefish)-all I can say is that it is a true game changer-for both open water and ice fishing-apparently not easy to find right now as they are selling faster than they are making them.Have not seen anything even close to its ability.simply amazing.

I work at a Garmin dealer. Pretty darn cool. Our techs are pumped about installing one, but haven't yet. Maybe in the new year I'll get to mess with one.

I also enjoyed the uncut angling episode featuring the technology. I might be able to afford it in a few years when more manufacturers have it and cost comes down.

.Lot of haters out there though, many will want to ban it I'm sure.

Help yourself.

Hey Ace!

You thinking for ice fishing?

Never used one but from what I’ve seen I’m not impressed. Actually no interest at all for me.

7” Lowrance mounted on my machine for mapping and GPS. Marcum LX7 for fishing and away we go!

Hey stranger good to see you're still alive.

Just got turned on to this new system and thought it would be nice for both open and hard water fishing? Currently running a Hook7 triple on the the boat and a Helix55 for hard water. Thought the ability to side scan up to 100' would save a lot of time searching and punching holes.

By the way, did you read that book I sent you on making babies yet?

I’m to old for babies! Tegan and I enjoy each other’s company but equally enjoy our free time. Neither of us have any regrets on our decision.

Only thing I really ice fish for is big water walleyes, wolf pack roamers so wouldn’t do me any good for locating fish. Maybe the panfish guys but I don’t know anything about that.

Either way I would want an actual flasher for fishing. I don’t like the moving blob that appears to not give detailed target separation.

Looks pretty good on separation plus the whole screen is real time which is amazing. Don't get me wrong, love my Helixx55 for hard water but it has its limitations,
