Caught a big boar yesterday morning, went to skin it today and the fur on it was not as heavy as rest of the coons, and the rectum looked like it had rot.
When I put it on table to comb it out the smell was like hot weather rotten carcass..
The other coons were normal none of them laid in the sun and all on their backs.
I have never had one like this before, what is your thoughts.
And no I didn't take photos didn't think about

no heated building around this area, lots of building just not heated

I'd toss it. Not worth the chance of what you might find inside that nasty thing.

I bury all sick animals and cover with lime. If it stops the spread to one other animal, it was worth it to me.

I think we got hit by distemper again, no coyote pups, found young coon dead in water, I should have 40? Coyote by now, I caught 12, all adults
