Depends on time of year. This time of year in my area sacks are pretty light.

X2, they're lighter this time of year than they would be in March or April. A guess in the dark would run from $8-$18. That's assuming you'll get $60/lb.

Just caught a 48lbs one this morning and put it up tonight. Castors sacs where real light

I got 12 Beaver that I took castor out of and have a total of 12.2 ounces dried. The Beaver averaged about 50#.that was in the last 2 weeks.


Wish I had more time to trap....

I get my best castor right about now. But size of beaver has almost nothing to do with how much castor you will get. I have got total shells with no weight to speak of, up to 1 lb on 48 lb beavers. But on average I will get about 1/5th of a lb dried.


My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
