strike2x trapper Joined: Jan 2015 Posts: 3,446 Houghton Lake, MI	I got 12 Beaver that I took castor out of and have a total of 12.2 ounces dried. The Beaver averaged about 50#.that was in the last 2 weeks. Wish I had more time to trap....

beaverpeeler trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 11,219 Oregon	I get my best castor right about now. But size of beaver has almost nothing to do with how much castor you will get. I have got total shells with no weight to speak of, up to 1 lb on 48 lb beavers. But on average I will get about 1/5th of a lb dried. My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
