Got around well with the snow and the ground was solid, lots of badger activity going on, dragged a roadkill into a draw to see if any cats would hit on it and found cat tracks down there already and a narrow finger draw the cat was using. On the way in with the deer I came across a bedding area I though was deer but the closer I looked it was a place yotes had lunch eating a cotton tail (cool to come across that). Tracked a yote down a muddy road in the river breaks to a set so I got to see how she walked to the set in the snow.


Turned into a field to look for badger mounds and a kestrel (sparrow hawk) flew off with a what looked like a vole it was black so I don't think it was a mouse. Just a good day overall spent outdoors.

That is what it is all about, to stop and smell the roses, which many people never take the time to do. A great day to be in the outdoors.

Sorta like driving up to check traps on the river farm and seeing 15 bald eagles fly up from coyote carcasses I put there.
Two we're mature, rest were immature, I was pretty close to them.
One Time in wy I drove up to small draw on the way out to check coyote traps, it had just snowed about 8 ", I turned a bend in trail and popped into view of carcasses, 3-4 eagles flew up, one mature eagle beat the snow off the sage brush as it struggled to get air born.
This was about 20-30 feet from me on my atv, pretty cool
