If anyone is looking for alternative venison recipes, check out killernoms.com. I can say, for a fact, the corned venison recipe is the bomb.

trapperkeck you can use tenderquick and brown sugar to cure a whole venison ham. then smoke it about 180 degrees for twelve or 14 hours. I bet its a lot like that corned venison only smoked. its delicious. people who don't like deer meat more often than not like cured venison ham.

I bet that is fantastic. I am not a big fan of the flavor of venison, but if it is canned, or made into sausage or jerky, I like it a lot.
