I am not too proud to admit that when I am meat hunting, and I run into a family group, I start with the smallest one first just in case that is the only one I have a chance at before the rest run off.
Not because of the tender, succulent, delicious, easy to drag aspects, but because it breaks my heart to think about the little ones having to suffer out in the cruel world without their mother...
Yah, that's the ticket. You bet...

What I always forget is if you are using a scoped rifle they are whatever magnification you are set at times smaller . A small deer at 50 yards times 6 x looks OK until it is now actual size
