Went and set up my lines for fisher over the past couple days. Took a few pictures. Got some otter sets in also.

I may check tomorrow night, maybe Wednesday and I'll update with catches then.

Was a lovely day with snow in the trees. Got a good number of traps set. It supposed to stay mild for a while, so will keep the creeks moving.

Anywhere there is a remote chance of a domestic animal I set in the trees. Further out I set on the ground, but double up on my sets to avoid cannibalism.

Hutchy, that white tube is interesting. Is it a pail with 160 round body grip?

They are plastic flexible ice cream pails. A 160 Belisle squishes into them perfect and stabilizes rock solid. Being ice cream pails they are flexible in the cold too. Not rigid at all like regular buckets. I have probably sixty from work

Best thing going for fisher. I can carry thirty in the toboggan plus all my other stuff. No good for coon, too shallow and they reach in half the time

Ended up with four fisher and three marten today. Plus the otter. Actually kind of slow for a three day check. No tracks, nothing seemed to move. The Saturday check will be better I predict.

Still trying to arrow a deer... Season ends Friday, then more trap checking. Hopefully pick up a few snared rabbits on the walk into the stand tomorrow..been two nights now

And three bonus hare from the six snares i set on Monday evening. No complaints about that!

Deer are still being stubborn. Two days of the season left and only a doe today.

Took the dog for a walk in the bush tonight. Rabbits we're slow and needed some snares moved around. Also checked five traps and ended up with another two.

Have the big check of all lines tomorrow. Should be a good one if they haven't cannibalized each other...it's been four nights now, and that usually means a couple eaten critters. Hopefully me setting double traps at most of the sets helped. We will see in the morning!

You sure have a lot of fishers in Canada, wow!

Good work with those catches.

Well, forgot to post when I pulled traps. Pulled them all about five days ago. That makes about 23 for the season. I need to check my records. I will need to get three more this year, but that can wait for other areas accessible by snowmobile. Took two weeks but got it done. Now if only the prices would jump!
