12 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS !!!! I went in to see the Doc a while back. He talked me into getting a Colon test. Was not going to go through the gallon drink thing, and be glued to the toilet. So, he gave me the Colon guard test. I got the test results from the Doc yesterday. It came back Positive. Now, he wants me to go in for the full Colonoscopy . Got a bad feeling this is not going to turn out well. Canvasback

How old are you? My doc wanted me to have my first colonoscopy at 50. I put it off several years. There was absolutely nothing to it. The worst part to me was not eating anything the day before. The doc I used had a different routine with the stuff you drink and it was not that much to consume. I believe a lot of places have gone to this method. Fortunately I had good results. As stated earlier, the colon guard is not always accurate. Good luck and keep us posted

Granted it's not the most fun thing to have done but there is worse things . If I may I'd suggest a humorous approach to this as the Dr and nurses who are doing this that you want a letter stating that your head really isn't up there ! And my favorite is .... when does the Martian space ship arrive and do I get a kiss first ha ha !!! There were some paulups ( sorry I can't remember the correct spelling) found and I have to get checked again in a couple of years. I did get treated for throat cancer 9 fun filled weeks of hanging out with nurses and doctors and scared stiff to be around people but it's survivable a sense of humor and a very positive attitude is paramount for a total and speedy recovery . Honestly I'm not trying to take over your post just offering a different prospective is all . I'll mention you in my prayers ! Allan

I have a great aunt who was diagnosed with colon cancer in 1959. She had to have pieces of her colon removed over the years but she lived until 2016. She died when she was 86. So its not an automatic death sentence.
Good luck to you.
