It's a movie I often have playing in the background in the office. Know it by heart by now. If one can get by the politics of the actors and the technical expertise at the time of filming, it's not a bad film at all. There's a gal that comes to a few rendezvous with her violin and can play most the sound tracks from the movie. It's a heart warming experience to hear the music, and look around and one is in pre-1840s surroundings. There are a few YouTube videos that I've got keyed up on the 'puter to have in the background. Redford is the main character in 2 of my favorite movies.The Natural and Jeremiah Johnson. I would have been happy in either situation-a mountain man or a ballblayer. Tom
