Some say this is a cross with a dog and some say it is just a coyote.

Just the coloration does not mean anything because there are all kinds of melanisitic colors out there from solid black to pure white and german shepard looking to yellow lab colors without any real color band changes

I think what catches people's attention is the white feet and white on his legs. The white is not common here in the Texas Hill Country.

Looks like all the 'yotes I've caught. Still haven't caught any of the blond phase ones like my brother used to catch. They just keep getting bigger here.

When I averaged 120 fox a year about 2-3 out of 100 would have white feet or legs instead of black

Looks like a typical male stink dog to me. The color of the feet does not matter much once he is drying on a stretcher!
