I’m usually fortunate enough to get a top lot otter almost every year. I think this one is a contender for sure! Fully prime, gloss black guard hair and nice bright underwool.

I know! Went from a 160US average in 2013 to a 60US average last year. I’m hoping they are on the rise a bit this year but I’m doubtful. What? $60 US average last year - that is like about $75 Can. last year. If memory serves me right those were about the top lot prices not averages. Averages were less than half that. You must mean top lot prices not averages. And agree with others that that is a nice otter with very good contrast between guard hair and underfur if that is what the graders are looking for besides primeness, size, and no damage which this otter appears to have.

Top lot was $69 US last year, my average was $56.50 US. However I only caught and sold 4 otters last season. I was leaving them and hoping things were better this year. I think I have 13 to send in now.
