Great looking cats, Ambush and Marshall.

Look at those conditions, no snow to speak of, couldnt ask for better. Usually we get a nightly dump of snow and high winds to make things tough during cat season. I still have 6" of crusty snow on my line...but not an issue since I pulled a long time ago.

Marshall sold his cat to the taxidermist at Jay's in Clare today. Was going to have it tanned with feet and claws on for $175 but the guy offered him $100 for the cat as it was. He took the money. Guy skinned the head and took skull out and sent Marshall to the DNR to get a cites tag. Took skull through mouth. I am going to buyers tommorow with my furs, cat included and I hope I get at least 100 since I put it up but not holding my breath.

Wish I had more time to trap....

I was told the DNR needs to attach the ciites tag to the pelt?

They did, just still had carcass in it. All they want is the skull and because there is a deadline you almost have to do it that way if taxidermist is taking it whether it be for them or you. Just make sure the DNR guy doesn't try to poke new holes....
