Sure taking a beating, hope things improve sooner then later. Last few years have been good, and as of the last month or two they have really turned poor. Oil appears to be headed back to the same price as a bucket of chicken again. Wish I understood the highs and lows a bit better.

We seem to have given up our concern over the country's debt. Our children and grand children should hate us for what we have allowed to happen to this country.

The economy is so great it can't even handle 2.5% interest rate. All they did in 08 was kick the can and make what's coming worse.

Great time to buy. Been in the mkt since 1975. ALWAYS came back and passed point it fell from within 5 yrs!!! Dec. 31, 1975 Dow Jones was 852.41.

We have to be in debt. If we got out of it our dollar would collapse and things would get real bad.

The lowest the Fed's fund rate in 1975 was 5.25 %, highest was 7.0 %.. National debt was $533 billion.Stock buy back's were illegal (it was considered market manipulation,witch it is). Apples and oranges.

I think he meant to refer to the PPT (Plunge Protection Team) AKA Federal reserve propping up the stock market.

Do you suppose that companies who borrow to buy back stock do so with a variable rate loan ?? They really aren't that dumb !
