I agree you never really ever had a valid man card when you decided to get married during trapping season. Unless there was a gun involved that is a definite no no. The only reason I could or would pull a full day working trapline would be to have a death in the real immediate family. I had my father in law pass years ago while running a long line. I was local thankfully and not out of state when this happened. I couldn't pull it since I had too much time and expense involved to do that. I made it work but it was grueling for a few days. The wife and I worked things out since she has been with me long enough to know what is involved with running my lines. It isn't like taking a couple days off work. You have a commitment to your trapline like you do in a marriage. If you don't feel that way you need to pick another hobby. You fellas running a few traps for a couple of hours a day can do this but it isn't possible with a daily investment in your work and livelihood.

yesterday for my birthday I booked a table for the missus and myself. I knew it was going to end in tears as she is crap at pool. Yea hand in your man card and try again next season.
Let's go Brandon

Thanks everybody.
Yesterday after I pulled I manage to get things caught up in the fur shed as well as boiling and waxing everything pulled and changing my bag over to my mid season lures. Ready to get after it again on the 26th.
