When using a quart jar to make mouse juice, oil what ever it turns into, it would be best to only fill the jar 3/4 full. I had that sucker stuffed full thinking they would rot down and fill less of the jar. Guess I missed the part about them expanding first. Mouse blood with make its way out of a fish tank stone thing. Guess I will have to keep an eye on it for awhile.

You are an extremely brave person to admit I like it,supposed to learn from others mistakes. Sometimes depending on the situation, it's better to fail and make the mistake firsthand, rather than read it from a thread. JMO teaches how to respect the discipline a little more. Terrible when a batch bites back.

I also put a couple quart jars in the fridge about 2/3 full of diced liver thinking I was safe because they were in the fridge. That one almost got messy. Now the lids are loose.
By the way, all of this is taking place in the basement in my area. Not in my wife's. I was also informed that there will be no animal hides going in the washer.

Do your marriage a favor, and find a place outside of the house to mess with lure/bait. Garage...or even farther away if possible. The basement was to be mine, all mine. She has been creeping down there. She is now growing peppers down there. We shall see what she thinks when she goes down to water them. Probably will not notice much as most of my lures are down there and it is not hard to tell they are there. I was considering moving it for my own pleasure tho. I like to spend time down there and they are getting ripe. They just may find themselves just out side the cellar door. Should stay warm enough there for them to do their thing.
