I lowered mine by just cutting out excess salt.
Don't they have medicine where you live?

I never use salt or cook with salt.

I'm taking 4 different BP meds now. Don't want any more

Ignoring Hal will probably lower it a few points.

It makes total sense.

Reminds me exactly of many examples I have heard reported, and seen personally, of people who, through practice, literally lower their heart rate , or normalize it , even controlling body temperature in other cases, to a very effective degree.

Those who have practiced this , for generations, have been Ti Chi , martial arts, yoga masters, monks throughout Asia ,through a very similar meditative process , controlling their breathing , hence lowering their BP.

To a degree , I have learned to do essentially the same thing that this technique offers. It is a learned way to calm and center one's state of mind, which directly affects heart rate. Breathing properly is directly related to the process.

I would say definitely give this a go. Along with your good way of eating, it surely only can add to success.

I have seen this breathing process practiced personally for many years in the Ti Chi and martial arts as long as I can remember.

I say it could be worth a try! Taking 4 bp meds is a lot, but way better than a stroke or heart attack. I have never heard of Resperate, but may consider it. I take 2 meds for bp, and my doctor says I will always need it. If I miss a dose, I feel like stomped mud.
With the lowered rates shown in the article, mine would still be way too high. If you try it, please let us know results!

I will. My doc is changing 3 of the 4 next week so I'll see what that does. I don't have a lot of confidence that the change will help.

Well I hope it does. Bp is nothing to play with. I had to start keeping a dose in my vehicles, for those brain dead mornings, when I forget to take it!

Never heard of that white but I agree, it's worth a shot. When you feel like crap all the time, anything is worth a shot. I did have a buddy back in the 90's who struggled with high bp and he found a Indian Dr who swore he could cure it with diet. So he took a 40 day leave of absence and joined the Dr's program. It was 30 days of digestive cleansing, mostly carrot juice and supplements. Then it was a very strict diet. Have to say, it worked. He never looked better and said he never felt better and he never needed meds for hp again!

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Yep....Catch, that is correct.

Similar to the low carb eating that Patrice and others were referring to a while back.

Finding the right ones, over time, and often eliminating others, which is great , will help smooth things operating in tandem . It will work out ...things that medical personal have known and had success in for decades, even centuries, are sadly only recently gaining in knowledge in this country....for reasons obvious ....

It will work out ....

Actually I had never heard of this thing RESPeRATE until last night. My primary care physician sent me the link to it.

Yesterday my BP had been spiking all day... But last night, right here on the forum, while some of us were sharing music on that one thread.............I took my BP.

It had dropped from 177/90 to 120/60. I sent that reading to my PCP. She sent back the link. So she is thinking that my BP was moderating in response to the music.....thus the thinking about external rhythms influencing pressure
