I've recently began switching over to this trap primarily. I enjoy almost every aspect of this trap, but I have a feeling the dog will be the issue as it is with most traps of similar makeup. My question is has anyone used this trap before and found a heavy duty dog that will replace the one already in place? Otherwise these traps look like they are going to become my #1, and I am surprised I haven't heard more about them in the past.

I sold all mine off, but the ones I had the dogs had been beefed up with cotter key halves welded on.

The PIT stainless steal dogs are great. Just give Ed Medvetz a call and he will hook you up.

I second the SS Pit rod dogs. I don't know of any critter on this continent that can bend one of them.

Great trap with pit step downs and stainless rods.
I'm very happy with how mine performed this season.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
