I haven't made this dish for several years. I stopped in to visit with my mother yesterday afternoon and my sister was there making this dish for their dinner.

It sure brought back some memories of how that stuff tasted. So I went home with the thought of making a couple dishes for our dinner.

My wife really liked "Chicken Devan " when she was better and made a good dinner with it over the years. She isn't able to do much of anything these days due to her health so I told her I would make it

for her. So here we go.

Yum, Yum fellas. Going to let it cool for a bit and dig in. Haven't eaten this good for a while. I made this while going back and forth working a bunch of bait and doing some bottling in between.

That looks great Bob. I'm having left over roast, always better the next day!

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

The final topping is seasoned croutons to give it some crunch. The sauce is a blend of miracle whip, creamy chicken soup and a touch of lemon juice. Sharp cheddar cheese sprinkled generously over the sauce, chicken breast slices over a bed of broccoli.

That looks awesome.

At daybreak, I deboned last nights venison neck roast, and made a stew of potatoes, onions, and carrots, with a clove of garlic and various seasonings. It is in a crock pot, 5 quart, and looks like I should eat some.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Looks good, Bob. Castor chicken. Lol
My son would put a hurtin on that. Chicken and broccoli are his two favorites. You give that boy a bowl of broccoli and a bowl of ice cream, he is gonna eat the broccoli first, and there might be some ice cream left when he is done but there won’t be any broccoli left.

Just got back from an oyster roast. Fried red drum, steamed shrimp, and hush puppies. Ate a peck or more of steamed oysters. $30 for all you want. I passed on desert.

Took a gout pill just to be safe.

Our half of a pig came last week. We raise 4 each year. Our blended quarter of beef is being cut up right now. I enjoy raising the food and also we get the roasting chickens and the eggs as well. I guess I better enjoy raising the meat as I have been doing a very, very poor job getting meat hunting.

That's awesome. It nice to hear that people still eat vegetables.

You stop down John and I have plenty of left overs to send home with you. I think you would like it real good. smile

I have lots of bait to preserve today and other things like castor and oil sacs to process to keep you busy.
