Is there any use for Fisher meat as bait? If not does anyone know why?

A fisher carcus goes untouched at my pile.

I chop them up and throw them on the bait pile.I keep the skulls for a kid that likes to clean them up.

Just two replies???? Besides on a carcus pile. Has anyone tried them in dirt holes as an experiment. I have tagged out on both Bobcat and Fisher he in Pa so I my just do an experiment. Like guys here say coon are worthless. I placed a pile out and had bobcats working them. I now catch bobcat on them yearly. And they walk right pas beaver to get to the coon .Go figure....

I realize nothing messes with a fisher. But they are a cat correct???? I mean they call them Fisher Cats. (Yes I know they are from the weasel family)

I would think that most K9 would eat fisher carcass. Just as they will mink and skunk carcasses

I can't answer to that, but am noticing the yotes taking to possum, the other white meat.
Thought it was a freak thing but others over here confirmed it too.

I figured you would tag out. From your demo I gathered that you were on them.

I've had a coon carcass wired to a tree for almost two months and nothing has touched it. I finally had a cat find a beaver carcass and I caught it on the cats second attempt to feed on it.

About the opossum, I have trapped hard the past 6 yrs in the Allegheny National Forest. After coyotes and bobcats. Have had trapping with me on my line as we trapped for cats. In six years we have caught only one opossum. I have found coyote droppings that were nothing but black and white hair in these areas. I am sure that if mom an dad, and the family bring you opossum a few times when you are young it always on the menu from then on. As stated the other white meat. And this was another year without a opossum. If I want opossum I just need to trap near the river, then I will catch a few.
Anyhow I will do an experiment with the fisher meat. Figure there has to be a few curious folks out there too. By the way I am not new to the trapping game. (Been doing it over 45 yrs now) WOW WHERE DID THE YRS GO??
