They have a saying for what Ohio State did this year. They played to the level of their competition. Ohio State should have the talent to compete. Notre Dame and Oklahoma obviously do not.
Not a fan of OU, but they are the most talented team outside of the SEC besides Clemson.
Who is John Galt?

Yep, there would still be someone left out and whining.
That said, It would give some lesser teams more funds. Bowls bring money and i'm sure playoffs would too. Money is the only reason teams with no chance of beating the top dogs, allow themselves to be whooped up on by the much better teams yearly. Blowouts usually hurt the money angle. Sorry second half advertisers, I missed all your commercials. Who buys tickets to watch a blowout?

Really? Go read up a few posts you dimwit! I was responding to a fool making racist comments about the big ten and big twelve picking champions based on race! Now... go try reading comprehension school instead of showing what a fool you are! His comment though misworded is valid. Historically the south and by extension SEC has been denigrated by the national (read northern controlled) media to include sports media. Not by race mind you but by region, though race would be used to slight our conference. Example, Alabama not being properly awarded the national champion title in 1963 in spite of an undefeated season. You may not understand it but the 1926 win by then Southern Conference Champ Alabama over the Washington Huskies had profound effects on the southern psyche that persists to this day.

Why wouldn't they put Ohio State playing Georgia? If they we're the 5th and 6th ranked teams. Ohio State should have no problem with Washington which a unranked SEC team beat(Auburn) and I don't think Texas can hang with Georgia either. Would have loved to seen OSU vs Georgia 1 plays 8 2 plays 7 3 plays 6 4 plays 5. I would have loved to see Georgia vs. Clemson at some point in the playoff. I just believe that would be a top notch game.

I'm hoping this latest shellacking of the legendary fighting Irish will finally convince everyone that no one is entitled based on what happened fifty years ago. And to think folks once accused Bama of living off a dead bear. I'd have rather seen UCF in the playoff tha. ND lol.

Someone does, the stadiums are full when Bama plays joe blow arn't they? Not always, Coach Saban had a few words for our fans this year. He wasn't pleased with empty seats.

The defending "national champs" get their comeuppance, I mean chance, this evening. Geaux Tigers CORRECTION; Google lied, they play at 1pm Tues. I'm sitting here cussing ESPN because according to Google the game is today at 6pm.

Don't have to go back that far . Remember Auburn in 2004? Didn't even get to play in the game but was undefeated. USC won but then had to vacate it because they like to pay their players and stuff..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_NCAA_Division_I-A_football_season

Not all that odd if you have a 101,000 seat stadium in a town of less than 50k in a state only a little over 1m. While Bama fills every seat, and becomes the states largest town, on most home game weekends this year's sense of the inevitable (plus every game being available live on the net) has led to many folks staying home. Each empty seat is nearly 1k loss for the city and university. At one time empty seats would really cost teams big bucks. But now the TV money is so ridiculous that teams don't feel the pain. Ever wonder how pro teams stay solvent when the stands are empty. Look at the sin city Reds !!! Google what CBS paid the NCAA for the TV rights for March madness. Somewhere north of 10.8 billion for 14 years !!!!!!!! $ 771,142,857 dollars per year.

Dang, the Big Ten just can't stand up to any SEC team, can they? How bout them Gators? Let's see Iowa scored more points against Mississippi state than Alabama did. Does that put Iowa in the championship game? Or does that mean the SEC just sucks?
