I'm going to set up a post set to target bobcats, I heard a charred post works well. Terrain is mountain woods & I'll be setting on 2 tracks / logging trails. Should I use a gland lure or something else? How high on the post should I apply the lure? How far back from the post should I set my trap? Any other tips/suggestions? Thanks!

Maybe try some call lure at the top and urine at the bottom. I wouldn't put the trap very far away. Maybe lean the stick slightly away from your trap.
