I'd say it could make a differece, I know my wife is always full of static electricity, well other static too, lol. The old elec systems with positive ground didnt corrode as bad.

New age mumbo jumbo. I go barefoot in the back yard, but mostly it just makes my feet hurt when I step on the bones the dogs leave. Not to mention the soft stuff the dogs leave.
