Where do you place the trap on urine post sets? How far out and how much offset?
Seems no Matter where I put it I keep missing.

If you got snow you can see by tracks, I go out about 6" and to the side about 6"

If your not doing it already, maybe some subtle stepping guides as per Mark June, Andy Weiser, etc methods.

I put in all of my scent posts with post hole diggers during the summer, trail crossings and field edges and natural transitions are the best locations. By angling the post, it aids in positioning the canine for marking it, you can envision where the front foot would be , approximately 10" to the left and 10" in front. For Cat's a little tighter.

Nice cat!
I haven't thought about using a post that big. Interesting.
