908shooter OP trapper 9 Joined: Jan 2018 Posts: 61 New Jersey	Last year at this time I had around 20 red fox and 15 coon. So far this year I caught 3 coon and 2 reds. I’m trapping the same land and setting the same amount of snares. The last 2 years I have caught 47 red fox off of this property combined. I’m not sure whats going on, I think the rain hasn’t allowed them to travel as far or maybe their density in my area declined so much from the previous years catch. Anyone experiencing the same thing in NJ?

I sure have noticed more and more in places they never were before, a coyote will have no problem showing a red who is boss... If we ever get some snow go have a look and see what and where the canines are moving... This big dog showed up recently... ,.,. Lifetime Member NJTA...WTTA Caught the bug in 1979

Cats there now too unfortunately. But they arent the problem this year. Water is..on both the north and south sides of town. Move on or its gonna be a tough year. Im out of town entirely already this year and I didnt start until almost December 20th. April is autism awareness month. Down here high is not high enough LOL 5 foot elevation is high LOL I had a cage yesterday on a high spot with a coon in it, sep, it was in water. knee deep water that was dry and I didn't have high enough boots so I got wet too. J. Rader trapper J Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 411 Nj	Too much rain. I’m not a heavy trapper cause I’m on the road 14 hours a day. Last year I caught 9 coons in the first 2 days.
