We put in on northside of Lake Menomin go up river about 2 miles to the cut off, a little bay with a little island. We catch some monsters there every year during the spawn. The water's anywhere from shallow to 9-13' in the main horseshoe. My girlfriend has caught 1.5-1.75lbs up to 14" several times. Of course you get the little guys to sort thru too. Go early summer before the water turns tho. Close to home

Back when I was a kid, we knew of ponds that were "abandon" pretty far back in the woods where most wouldn't take the time to walk to or didn't know about. It was nothing to pull 11+ gills out of there all day long. Like all the other prime hunting, trapping and fishing places of my youth, most of them are all houses now. I BELIEVE IN MY GOD, MY COUNTRY AND IN MYSELF.
