Want to raise gas tax 30 cents to the highest in country on news, gossip is the new Gov wants us to buy auto license for 5 years so he can have a lump of money to spend. Yea where is he going to get money the next 5 years?

I go to southern Illinios several times a year hunting. The farmer we stay with and every other person we've met over the years are great people. Probably one of the most conservative places I've ever been, but unfortunately they are ran by the dems in Chicago. If it wasn't for tgat id have no problem moving out there after retirement. We just got a new gov that will be pushing simular crap. Her role model from two administrations ago gave us the " perminant" liscence plate for trailers for a mere $75 so she could get a bunch of money at once also. Can't transfer the plate now. We are back to annual plates for any new or transferred trailers

In IL the average citizen is nothing more then a worker bee for the political machine there, run as far as you can as fast as you can it will never get better! The quality of life sucks there you see it on the faces of the people everyday! Best move I ever made in my life was leaving that arm pit. (I did love Southern IL)

Seen on Jeopardy the other day that IL had 4 past Governors in jail so how crazy is that!

The govs keep taking the fall. And they have all been crooked. The real guy here that is the biggest ring leader is the Speaker of the house. Mike Madigan. He is the truck that pushes the plow. I did see the other day one of his lead henchmen got busted by the feds. I hope it sticks and even more I hope he roles over on Madigan.

The new gas tax if passed, and it will most likely will, will really run off what is left of any business here. The other gas tax he wants is a pay per mile everyone drives. I forget how it would be charged to non residents, but it was/is a joke.

Next will be our guns. Then the crap will really fly.
