Did it once for fun. Would make a cool wall hanger. I should do this again and tan it.

yea Tjm they was hard to get bundled up in burlap and then sew up with huge needle and cord and then just tie on shipping tag which FC Taylor provided. If one would take a package that looked or smelled like that to the post office today they might baulk, lol. As far dates you might even be right, I was trying to go by what year it was because I showed my sophmore science teacher my picture but that could have even been the next year. Alot of things for me anymore like dates are alot like playing darts, just take a stab and work from there, lol!

What I was saying is that you can do beaver without leg holes this way. They come out a bit more diamond shaped, but not really square depending how you stretch them. I'll post a picture. I'm not sure how a coon with those cuts would turn out.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Oh ok Skinner I thought you was talking about the coon. I have a nice picture someplace, havent seen it in 10or 15 yrs. And I have a new scanner that actually will work on my linux. but just thinking about all that wears me out.

By the way I truly enjoy all your religion threads!

Those burlap bundles went in the cargo belly of Greyhound buses. fwiw, USPS still took fur a couple years ago, no traps set this year so didn't inquire.

Beaver with no leg holes....not sure what shape a coon done this way would be. I had a coon yesterday I could have tried it on there getting pretty scratch backed.

I did them open a few years when I was a kid, I never could get them square. If I remember right the first cased they wanted was wider than now.
