Said goodbye at two funerals today. A woman this morning and a man this afternoon. Time has already slipped away. And with each passing it seems to get harder on the ones that are still living. Both will be missed but we can remember the good times spent with them and thank God that they were a part of our lives.

Sorry for your loss. My class is going through this as well right now. A man in my class died on Wednesday. He had muscular distrophy. Sad part is all he wanted to do was graduate, and he was 4 months away. Funeral is tomarrow. The others who arent graduating with is its their problem, but this is sad with him
At least you had em as long as you did. Be thankful for that. We buried 3 of my classmates a week before we graduated high school, killed drunk driving. I was supposed to be with them, but had to stay on the farm to change water and move pipe on our irrigated wheat. Still haunts me to this day.

Are they at a statistical age where it might be expected? If not, It makes it even harder.
Yes, these two were expected as one had cancer and one had heart disease for several years.
Our graduating class had 21 in it and 10 are still living.
The losses have been spread out through the years beginning in 1966 in the Vietnam conflict an then cancer claiming the most followed by heart disease.

Here's a short poem written for and read at the man's memorial.
ADIOS FOR NOW
As good a friend as I've ever known, Has brought me here today. To pay my respects and bid farewell, As our LORD has called you away.
I remember with a smile the times we had; The good ones, the tough ones and the fun. And if ever there was a man to ride the trail with; Ole Buddy, you are the one.
I feel sure we'll all recall, The times we had my friend; And look to that day in Heaven on High When we all meet up again ...
