Sitting here having my morning coffee and Pete walks in, telling us that we are late with his breakfast and he has invited a friend for what to him must be brunch. We can't even close this restaurant for a single morning I guess.

Man, those ducks have long bills!

According to a family that came by here in rented kayaks a couple of years back while Pete and I were sitting at the table of the dock those are pet eagles not ducks. Ever since they called him an eagle, Pete has had a bit of a swagger in his step.

Well, that's tourists for ya, can't tell an eagle from a duck.

One day Pete will invite a whole flock of his friends to supper !

He is gonna be lost once you move.

He is gone all summer and fall. He goes north at the end of April and does not come back till December. So he knows how to look after himself. I think I'll leave the 60 foot dock here at anchor for him and his buddies when we go.
