Would chicken work for a bait base? Main use would be for coyote and fox. My son was able to pick up a bunch from a wrecked truck that was going to be disposed of. I was thinking of grinding it up and using a bait solution, i just don't want to go through the hassle if it may be a bust. Thanks for any help.

It is covered in Nick Wyshinski’s books.… That you were supposed to ask for for Christmas from loved ones. Didn’t you get the memo?

I have tested the qualities of Chicken for a base for a lure or bait, neither my nose or the furbearing animals I seek show near the interest as to good old red meat and many other preferred bases. Now the feathers like fur all predators seem to be attracted to. If anybody can tell me how they prepare the chicken so it is a good base for lure or bait it would be greatly appreciated.

I have new hope for chicken meat as a base. A member emailed he ground it with chicken livers. Tainted with a slight taint and preserved and added bait solutions and he had good results. Either way I was way to quick with my opinion and need to keep an open mind as I usually do.
