A friend of mine, Sarah, was dating a nice, but incredibly wussy and overly submissive guy named Ben. They got engaged and Sarah asked me what I thought. I told her that Ben was not man enough for her. I told her that he did not challenge her and that she would get tired of having a guy that always did what she told him too. Sarah has a tendency to be a little manic at times. I told her she needed a man that would reign her in. She immediately got mad at me. A few weeks later she called me and told me that she had called off her engagement. She said that I was 100% correct about Ben not being a strong enough man for her. She told me she had asked her parents and several other friends for advice about getting engaged and all said that he was great for her. After she called off the engagement everyone of them her told her that they thought the same things about Ben, I did and that they did not tell her because they did not want to upset her. She was very appreciative of my honesty.

A couple of years later, she got engaged to a much better, more manly man, after again asking my opinion first. They told me they are going to name their first son Keith.

White, back in 1978 or so I was sippin a couple of brews with my crew after a long week of laying out timber access roads and we had stopped at the Helll Roarin Saloon on the upper Yaak, in NW Montana. Well, a long haired hippie type feller was disrespectful to a crew of gypo loggers. Long story short, ya never want to get a haircut with a HUSKY with a 36 inch bar. Kind of felt sorry for the fellow but I knew a couple of the gypos and they had arms with biceps approximately the diameter of a power pole. Sometimes life lessons can be painful and his momma should have taught him better.

PAskinner. I appreciate your points. But, I think the reason that the majority is angry is because the commercial paints the majority as being toxic, uncaring males. The reality is that most people (men and women) are good, caring people. I'd hate to see a commercial that stereotypes other genders/ethnicities as much as this one does.

Btw, "there are no good people in the eyes of God", simply because thinking of sin is seen by God. Not so much for people. A kid that voluntarily mows the lawns of veterans in the neighborhood is seen as a good kid because they see that instead of the chicken choking going on.
