New to trapping coyotes (got 5 so far this year). We got almost a foot of snow here in central IL and I'm wondering if coyotes will dig that far down on dirt hole sets? If not I was going to set them off and wait for the snow to melt.

Can't use snares.
They will dig down to it. This is when they will work bait. When it gets real cold this weekend it will make them hungry.

Just passin through

IMO states that don't allow snares. their law makers have NO idea about the sport.

Sounds good, I didn't know if 12 inches of snow would be to much for them to work or not
