I had six of your friends land in my yard late this afternoon.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from Wisconsin, Jonathan. Black capped lives matter too.

this morning at -25 c those little guys got mixed up and started to sing..." Springs=hear".
Had to refill the feeder....and warm the suet so they could get a little suet off and not rock hard.
Yesterday ran across some of their cousins in the black spruce swamp.

Happy New Years Jonathan. What's in store for the rest of the year?

N50,

Time will only tell. Will keep you updated.

A few White-breasted Nuthatches were here yesterday. To me, they are seasonal "winter cousins." grin

Jonathan I was talking about the Boreal chickadee the ones that sound like they have marbles in their mouths, the slow and lower tone song notes.

Not like the ones that Sharron has in the western mountains. Well with 7 species most people do not pay attention to them.

Don't forget the one they are putting up a wall and will hinder their migration on the southern boarder.

Few of us get to see the one that Ryan Mcleod has in his back yard.
