I cant remember which member on here shot me a pm last spring about using the Hornady 60gr HP in the .223 doing hog removal, I do remember what was asked and it was how the bullet performed on the shields of the big boar hogs.

Well, I have only shot two with these loads that were behind the shoulder shots. I have dispatched a LOT of hogs with this round making head shots.

The bullet performed well for a lead core bullet. I did not get an exit and didn't expect to get one. The entry was a typical small entry but the internal damage was darn impressive. Blood was scant but neither went over 50 yards. One of the other questions was in regards to being able to load them so they would function in an AR platform. I used my mic to check the inside measurements of all of my .223 mags and the COAL for my bolt gun was easily within the parameters to be used in an AR.

I hope this helps the Tman member that asked me about these last year.
